Is John Schmidt going to Manilla?

In the article ?World Pool Championship - Chenman in for Putnam? posted yesterday, down near the bottom it talks about John Schmidt. It says ?2006 US Open Champion John Schmidt has also withdrawn from the event and his spot will go to Manila Qualifier 10.?
I thought that he was going. After all that talk about not having a sponsor, then OB-1 sponsors him and now he is not going. Does anyone know what is going on?

He's not going. He'll be playing the Action Challenge II with Danny Harriman in Louisville instead. Should be a great match!
