And the answer is, rexus31.Josh just posted a picture on KillerFillers facebook showing him using a Predator Revo shaft instead of his wood Z-3.
He teasingly captioned: "The question is: WHO is going to send the first message with the famous question!?"
That’s amazing. I would think the top pro pool player in the world would have a minimum of at least 3-4 identical spec shafts/tips with them at all times at a tournament, if needed for emergency.

This thread reminds me of a guy I used to golf with. He was a trust fund baby, spoiled and self absorbed. He bought equipment all the time assuming it would make him better. He was an APA 4 and his golf game was just as bad as his pool game.
He used to by new golf clubs just like the pros had stiff shafts designed for a much higher swing speed than he possessed. His golf game suffered but he just kept buying all the new fancy clubs year after year. One time I played with an old hickory shafted driver and out played him yet again.
He could not bring himself to believe it was him and not the equipment. The power of marketing is awesome!

there are plenty that cost the same as wood shafts

True. Just haven't tried anything I like that justifies the cost. I take that back.... I did like the OB Fusion. Just haven't pulled the trigger on one yet.
