Is My Cue Ruined?

Now I KNOW Mawissa got to you and made the conversion...there you go again talking about "behinds". Tsk, tsk, tsk.

I don't understand. I think we need to get to the bottom of this so we can put an end to this whole fiasco. I'll take a seat in the meanwhile but don't think I've moved to the rear on this issue. I'm on this tail and don't want anyone thinking I've simply fallen on my rump just because of some young fanny.

BTW, have you ever spelled Marissa backwards? Food for thought.

That's because it was made by a Hall Of Fame cuemaker instead of a (cough-cough) custom (really a spec cue) made in someones garage. You would have received it warped from day 1.

Hey, Phoenix was 116 yesterday...what do you think the inside of a car would have been?

If the cue was well built - one night in the trunk shouldn't hurt it.

Now - Phoenix set a record for the highest LOW temp - 93 or something and it maybe 120 before the week is over. One thing that really makes you sick to your stomach is seeing (seen this more than once) a cue on the dash of a locked car (so the cue doesn't get stolen) in a uncovered parking lot of the pool room at 5:00 pm - outside temp is the 116 - inside temp on the dash that is in full sun is an oven you can bake bread in. And its a cue I have spent months building for a customer!

Warp

Hey, let us know what the results are. Did it warp or not? I don't leave mine in the car and hope I never forget. Good luck.

I have to admit that I do...especially after YOUR posts about butts, the butt of another male in particular that posts here, and packing something (more like everything including the kitchen sink) up into one. Not to mention other areas that you tend to go into. Hallelejuh....

That's when I think of just spanking the living hell out of yours until its so fiery red that it looks like a blast furnace and feels that way to you.
I ain't talkin' about playtime spanky-spanky whacks either.
Amen.......

Are you kidding me?

Last night I went to the poolhall and stayed pretty late, I put my cue case in my trunk and drove home. I guess because I was so tired I forgot to take my case out of my trunk, and I didn't remember until I went to get my case from where I usually keep it in my house and it wasn't there. I ran outside to the car and sure enough my cues were in there, and today the temperature was over 100. I pulled out my main playing cue and the wood feels very warm even though the temperature outside has cooled off because it's evening now. I haven't gone to the poolhall to roll the cue and see if it's still straight, do you all think it's probably warped? I am so angry at myself....

I am confused. Confirm you need to go to the poolhall to see if your cue is ruined? You need to roll a pool cue on a pool table to test it? You don 't have a flat surface at home to test it(i.e. dining table)? Wow, if I was that worried about it being ruined I would have even tested it on the sidwalk, it is easy to see a warped cue. You could have answered your own question without this thread although we did get some good answers on the myth that pool cues are easily ruined in trunks that are hot. Of course having a good case probably helps.

Lord . . . . first a veiled insult to Jude's Predator, then a direct shot at garage-based cue makers, topped off by a layer of Danny Janes praise.
