Is ok that I use a cue without a tip to break?

Ok, I've admitted I was wrong and stupid and I am trying to correct the situation. The question now is: Does anybody think that I have done any permanent/ irreparable damage to my table.

Ben- I'm sorry my logic was faulty. I don't know what else to say.
just throwing my 2 cents in dont make it personally it wasnt meant to be an insult.

Doesn't matter anymore. I fixed the table to where it can never be repaired.

I must admit that some of the replies here have me suprised. I know in my original post I said that my question may be stupid but it was an honest question with out pretense, yet a few post here seem to have been posted in an effort to humiliate me (in which you have succeded!).

ignore the people who made you feel bad, i had a cue the tip flew off of I used it as a break cue at home for years, it was no problem. its not a big deal, i ruined the ferrel over time but i didnt care the cue worked fine, I went to high school where we had 2 pool tables, the ends of all the cues were wood, the ferrels were broken off and it was just bare wood, it worked ok but not as good as a ferrel, if it works for you dont worry about it, i own a million dollars worth of cues and i cant change a tip-dont feel bad.

and for your own sake dont let people who make you feel bad about yourself bother you, they just want to feel self important, and their shit stinks too, as does mine. PM me if you have any other questions.

Yes.
It does hurt me that you find that funny.

It is shocking even to myself how badly I've taken this thread and the post within it.

You'll have to exuse me, I am not at my most lucid as I have taken a few Dr. prescribed xanaxes.

It is very odd and (to me ) sad how I have reacted to the post in this thread and how i have let it determine my self worth... i don't even know these people. based on a pm by rackem it really does make me feel bad about myself.

i used to thikn of myself as a serious player. Now i hope to never play again. This thread has helped just start a dep[ession that i was hopiong to get over.

Get a grip

:sorry: I have read some of your past posting why didn't you just use some chewing gum for a tip.:D
:welcome:

People here are giving you some direct advice which are pretty good and truthful. There is not need to feel bad, or ashamed or depressed and not shooting pool.

If you were to drive a car without a front bumper and the people on a car forum told you it wasn't a good idea and it was incorrect then you should take the criticism as a positive thing.

You can drive a car without a door, bumpers, hood, and it may be okay to you for a while and nothing may have happend.

But when dirt and debris mess up your engine and you get an expensive ticket from the cops, that's just something that could have been avoided.
(I am a car guy so my analogies are so)

Similarly, not buying a $.99 cent Lepro, Elkmaster tip to avoid cue, cue ball, and cloth damage which isn't the smartest thing.

Example:
To be honest, If you were to come and play on my Simonis 860 and scratch the cloth, I would snap your non tip cue and kick you out, and probably make you pay for the damages. But that wouldn't happen because I wouldn't let a person play with inproper equipment in the first place.

"You can't win a Gun fight with a Knife"
and
"You must pay to play, in the game of billiards."
