). Middle of 90 s i moved to another town-and visited a carom club. I went in, someone said *hello*. And i explained that i m a pool player with some 3c expirience and would like to play a bit and *perhaps* join the club.....just the face by using *i m a pool player* was priceless. After about 2 hours <---! someone came over said *hi* and said to me: "ok poolplayer, come with me, and show me how good our are! (with a strange smile on his face) Maybe we search someone for our *last* team.
We played a game 3c til 30. I finished the game in 35 innings. He was a bit confused. But greater and funnier was, that just in that moment 3 guys came into the room. 2 former german champions and 1 world champion i used to practice with sometimes. And after those guys said "Hi Ingo- all fine- wanna practice next week?*.........the face of those stubborn older carom players became MUCH funnier.
Immediatley after that he asked me if i wanna join the club- i denied. Because i don t want to waste my freetime with such stubborn and rigid guys.
