Is Shane's Cuetec straight of the sales rack??

Funny to think of all the guys out there buying the most basic predators for like 400 bucks,
and they definitely need a BK2 or Sledgehammer or something for another 300ish.

Meanwhile the arguably best breaker and player is using $176.00 hardware.
Think I may get one as a birthday gift for some guys stuck with Players and Meuccis.

$176 is over paying. Can get the same cue Shane has for like $140. For $176 you could get one with REAL fancy inlays, and REAL linen wrap!!! LOL!!

It would be pretty cool of you to do that for some less fortunate players though!!!

i have one of Shanes cues at home with me, its bone stock cue, not special anything, it's here incase he needs it sometime, which happened once. good cue for playing for sure.

Is it for sale?? Lol jk

And yea I figured it was a stock cuetec besides the tip or maybe a different taper. My friends said I need to be "cautious" because he probably has a custom cue maker build it and then make it look like a cuetec lol!

Who cares what Shane plays with lol he could pull a branch off a tree.. Throw on a tip and he could beat me and the rest of this forum all day and twice on Sunday. Does that mean you would pull a branch off a free and play with it lol his game isn't your game.

Yea I know. Well it's more of a mental thing. If one of the world's best shooters can shoot so great and consistent with a cuetec then, it should be good enough for anyone to use. Hence, it's not the arrow it's the Indian..or something like that.

Just further suggests that there is no need for me to spend $1800 on a custom stick to be able to shoot good. Right?

no..every cue has a different hit. Nothing hits like my lambros. Now did I need to spend 3 grand for a lambros. No a sneaky pete will play just as good and a ton better then cuetec...but thats me. you may like the feel of a cuetec but if it doesn't fit your style of play then it doesn't matter what great player plays with it..it's not going to help you. Earl Strickland played with a meucci cue back in the day but I thought they played terrible. I preferred mcdermott's stiffer hit then because the shaft flex in a meucci didn't fit my style of play.

I wouldn't play with my shit beat up that bad. His shafts roll with a wobble, and dents and dings, the cue is beat up pretty good. Just makes me laugh. I asked him one time why he doesn't have his shafts cleaned ups. He says, You can't win a pool tournament with your shafts like that. or something to that effect....

He's a weird dude, but he plays lights out.

If looks not function of a tool are primary then function might suffer. A cue stick is a
tool and if used hard and long enough will get dinged. Collect the pretty ones and play
with the tools.

That's why when someone asks where to get a good cue, I always tell them just get a Schmelke, with the type of tip you like, and if you are an LD guy, just bolt on an OB or Predator, and you really good to go for life. After that, you are just obtaining cues you like based on design, style, or maker... which is good to. But certainly not necessary to play.
