Seems like you are stirring the pot because you are pro wood. That's fine but your comments regarding SVB are baseless and incorrect. I'm good friends with one of the guys who had a hand in the R&D of the Cynergy shaft and was around SVB quite a bit through its development. He was like a kid in a candy store when he got his first prototype and was very instrumental in its development. The white ferrule? SVB. He told Cuetec he wouldn't play with an all black shaft (prototypes were all black like the Revo) as he uses the white ferrule to aim. There were other things they tweaked to accommodate SVB's likes/dislikes. He was VERY involved in the R&D process, No one held a gun to his head forcing him to use it. He told me early on it was the best shaft he'd ever played with. Good enough for me. FWIW, I still use a solid maple shaft but have hit with the Cynergy 12.5mm a bit. As far as carbon fiber goes, the Cynergy is about as close to wood as you are going to get with great feed back and some cue ball squirt although not as much as a solid maple shaft. IMO, his recent tournament results have more to do with more fishing and less pool than anything else. Good for him, he's earned the right and has the luxury to do what he wants. He really wants US Open #6 so I expect he will ramp up the practice time soon.
