Is Temu's $8 Kamui Black cue tip the same as PoolDawg's $27 Kamui Black?

I'm going out on a limb and say "NO!".

Everything you buy from Temu is either utter crap, deadly toxic or made by slaves. Ok, that may be a bit of an exaggeration but it certainly is a gamble, and one that's rarely worth taking. you forgot ALL 3.

There are tips for sale from China that are adequate for serious play. The problem with Temu is that you never know what you're getting. You may actually get fake Chinese brands, if you can even believe that, they do exist. It is usually better to buy something where they have their own brand, rather than knocking off something else. At least then, they have some skin in the game, namely trying to build a brand. They usually tank the brand after a while, but in the beginning it may actually be good.

gucci bags costs thousands of dollars for a stinking handbag. you can get a knock off for say a hundred or so that is probably close enough in quality and looks to be more than adequate.

but not real. same with tips for your cue. you are merely paying for a name. some may be great some may be junk.

It is sad, that even AMAZON is selling items from Temu. I found some different items in the past, where you had the identical pictures as Temu, plus the identical delivery time. But the whole thread is going off topic. It was asked if the Temu tips are real and I reported that they are finde. They work. Fake or not fake.

.... . Yes, RnD is an important think in case of calculations. But how long ago hit the CF shafts the market? I think it started about 2016 or so...
Predator was working on carbon fiber before 1998. I shot some with a prototype then. It didn't work very well.

In that regard, Amazon is just like Rebay. Marketers subscribe to some seller plan and start dumping. The flippers are funny - and real pissers too.

Actually, you can buy the exact same products, minus branding, for next to nothing... It’s been advertised a lot here recently since all this tariff bollocks. Lots of independent traders advertising factory access to buy luxury brands for nothing. Really demonstrates the concept of ‘value’ and the way our perceptions are so easily bent.

Many brands use the same thing, and simply stick a better logo on it

Here's a handbag hack for the deco society.
You can pick 'em up for a couple bucks at any Walmart checkout. Just ask the checker.

I bought one on ebay like that once and i could not get the serial number verified. It kept coming up as fake.
You can test whether your tip is fake or not at link at upper right of https://www.kamuibrand.com/

I have no personal experience with either sellers tips. But I can say this. Back years ago when someone on Alibaba was selling "Moori" tips for half the price I was getting mine straight from Japan for, I bought 12 of the tips off Alibaba just to see what the difference between the fakes and the real deal were. The logo looked pretty much the same on the tip itself. The box looked pretty close and even said Japan on it too. But the seal pack packaging was different and the hologram logo was different. Moori provided me with a little colored lens and you could see stuff in the Moori hologram with it that you could not see on the fakes. But if you took the tips out of the package that is where the biggest difference was in the tips themselves. The leather was a different color. The thickness of the layers was different. They even appeared to be coming apart in places. Later I heard that they got the packaging and hologram much closer on the fakes.

They are not exactly the same, if you look at the original tips, there is a double black circle around the hardness letter. They are not printing them different for different suppliers. Fake tips are what they look to be. Just buy some Ultraskins at half the price of the fake Kamui's and you will be good.
Or buy Precision tips for $10
