5/16 14 only refers to the diameter and threads per inch, right?

Wow. That doesn't make any sense. The only thing I can think of is somehow the insert is defective? I'd return it.James white
Not strange at all. A simple modification to the insert is all it takes.Got this today from Seybert's. It's unlike any shaft I've had before.
It fits but this can't be right.
Unisert inserts have been used for a few years now by some of us. I started doing them for people with two cues. One uni loc quick release and one 5/16x14. It was introduced on AZ as well.If you or a friend have Uni-Loc Quick Release jointed cue, your shaft may fit that as well.
i have a non-Predator shaft which fits both.
The Mali 5/16x14 was smaller in diameter but the quick release brass insert also fit the standard 5/16x14. I bought 100 of them when Mali closed.I had a Mali cue with shaft joint like that decades ago. I can’t say anything for the Revo shaft. It does looks weird
If part of the joint screw had a solid shank to it, I would agree.Kinda seems like it’s Pechauer, or Jackson style insert.
Makes sence. The only concern is,This is what happened.
If part of the joint screw had a solid shank to it, I would agree.
Even China sought of copied Pechauer only they use a metric thread M8x1.25
Meh, I’ll accept the apology. Realistically, if it’s acceptable tolerance at the joint, and seats tight. It should be fine. As far as acceptable as for what was ordered, no.Ma
Makes sence. The only concern is,
If you were getting vibration from the part that's bored out for Pechauers shank on thier joint screw.
Which is roughly .320 or .321 for just short of a 1/2 inch.
And regular 5/16x14 joint screws range from .307 o.d. to .310 o.d.
Food for thought!
