Is This A Conflict Of Interest?

I wonder if he is going to sign his own contract and take a percentage of his own winnings?

Of course it is. Just think how much he might stand to lose if he beats one of his horses who otherwise might well have gone on to win big. Sounds like he's the kingmaker.

Shouldn't there be some clause in the IPT regarding this issue? This is in such bad taste and bad for the sport. I am just amazed on what people will do.

and to continue to be negative,

He could help put out some of the people he doesn't have a contract with, thus helping all of his contracted players. He might even not put in his best effort when its time to play one of his contracted players, helping them out.

I say smart move. I bet he is hoping that he puts out a few non contracted players.

Either way, he wins

Of course I have no knowledge of anything, just being Mr. Negative and Mrs. Doubtsayer based on rumor and hearsay.

It sounds like, these contracts liken him to a team owner. From what I've heard he is not the only one. In other sports, someone can not own more than one team. There is also a paid impartial comissioner, to make sure there are no conflicts between owners. NASCAR, on the other hand does allow an owner to field multiple teams. If the IPT ever wants mainstream respect, this needs to be dealt with, IMO.

Surprised?

Why would conflicts of interest, non payments, arranged draws, or any other questionable actions surprise anyone? This is KT's tour and "A fish rots from it's head down".
