Yes.

Joss Brunswick Gold Crown Series.

Third cue down. I can't quite read the model number.

Nice cue.

Another even nicer recently sold that still had the tags on it, brand new, never played. It was actually Dale Perry that sold the other one.

The one you are asking about is way overpriced IMHO.

Here is the other one that sold. Higher level cue. New with tags. Sold for $285

You will also find Brunswick cues of that era made by Falcon and made in Asia.

Anyone remember the limited edition Brunswick Anniversary cue Joss made back the in '80s? Made to look a little like a Titlist conversion or Rambow type cue, SS joint, Hoppe ring (maybe a silver ring), came in a blue velvet case. Never saw one around, thought I would have at some point...pretty sharp cue, though.

Yup. And I see you found it.

I dig them. If you can find one, it's a keeper IMHO.

I actually saw one of the cases for sale three or four years ago.

Can't imagine somebody breaking up the set.

Every time I see "Joss Brunswick" somewhere I get excited hoping it's one of those.... :embarrassed2: And that includes when I saw this thread. I clicked on it hoping it was one of the numbered anniversary cues. They do not surface often.

I would consider the Joss Brunswicks like you posted to be low end collectibles. Good name. Good construction. Fun to own. Condition is everything of course. They certainly don't come up for sale often.

Easy to get a second shaft for too, so you can keep an original shaft original if you want.

I would not be too sure about this. As Mr. Webb hinted, this may have an odd size pin.

No disrespect to Mr Webb, they are the "standard" 5/16 x 14 pin that most Joss cues use. I am sure, I know these cues. :)

Of course, anything is possible and custom orders can be made. But this cue series used the standard Joss pin "off the shelf".

EDIT: I see Mr Webb already answered anyway.

Maybe you should call Mr. Janes and ask him if he made a line of cues with the Brunswick name and a 5/16x13 screw. I know I did years ago. Which is why I answered..
Sometimes I forget. Is this still ask the Cue maker?
How long have you been repairing and building cues?

My apologies.

I defer to your experience in the matter. I simply thought the 13 was a typo, and I really did believe this series of cues to have the standard 14 pin. I thought we were in agreement and did not intend to contradict you. I can see how it would appear otherwise.

But I have spoken out of turn anyway, as you properly pointed out. Please forgive me, my enthusiasm simply gets the best of me occasionally.

EDIT: I truly respect the skill, experience, and knowledge of the cue makers. I really do just get excited to talk about cues, especially older ones. Perhaps I just need to just shut up and listen more. I do get that. I am thrilled that the cue makers choose to contribute here and I have learned a great deal, with great appreciation, by reading the contributions here. I hope that I have not diminished this sub-forum in any way.

A very gracious response Sir, even I am touched.
Like Mike, I am aware of the 13 tpi but it wasn't my place to interject.
Mike knows his pins far better than I ever will. Again, you showed grace.
Your contributions will always be welcome. Thanx

I apologize also. I felt a challenge. Not that, that means anything. I only post from actual experiences.
I always enjoy your post, experience and your passion for cues.
