Is this a titlist conversion or tribute?

Hi Guys,

I pick this cue up thinking it was a titlist but a friend pointed out to me that this is not a titlist forearm and that it look more like a tribute cue. Have a look and let me know what you think. The cue is beautiful and plays great and I'm happy with the purchase but just wanted confirmation.

I vote tribute, too. The veneer colors are just a tad off, particularly the brown considering how vivid the purple & green are. Also, the straight grain forearm doesn't look as dark as I'd expect for old wood.
It's a very nicely done tribute, though.
 
I also think it's a tribute. The forearm and point wood don't look aged enough, and as mdavis said the veneer colors are not quite right. The brown looks a little yellowish.

It's a really nice cue, Titlist or not.

Duc, my vote would be not a Titlist...points look too long and thin and veneers don't appear to be wide enough. Points and veneers look too good, too.

Looks like one for Jerry's

I have had a few. They do play solid. That is why I am waiting for aa 6 pointer to be built by him. Stick with a winner! The old blue and Mahogany are hard to get perfect. Jerry keeps getting closer though. Who rewrapped it? It may be cortland if it still has the origional wrap!

Duc. Does that cue have a funny brown mark between one of the points at the top in the maple. If so I made that cue. Joe blackburn put the cortland wrap on the cue
 
Btw die the record nick is kinda right. This is one of 3 forearms Jerry made for me when I first started maligned cues in like 2005. This is te 2nd or 3rd cue I ever made.
 
Thanks Guys...that clear it up for me. It's a great playing cue Dave, good work on your 3rd cue. The points and curly straight grain maple is really nice on this cue.

In order for it to be a conversion, it would actually need to be "Converted" from an actual Titlist.

Since it's not, it's a tribute or "Themed" cue.

i dont know if its a tribute or conversion? probably tribute, what I woul like to see is the butt sleve wood match the prongs-that just looks more balanced to me. Although this is a fine cue anyone shoul be very proud to own, it's a beatiful cue for sure.
