Is this an Ebony Titlist?

Titlist

Always outside purple veneer. Were they purpleheart. Either way It is a purple that matches the other veneers in an odd way. The look has yet to be duplicated. Everyone now almost gets one or two of the colors kind of close but nope. Maybe it is the dyes used or the passiong of times aging effect the wood and veneers and their dyes.
Not a titlist.

and your positive the seller didnt say it was a Titlist tribute.. or he made it to resemble a ebony titlist?

Certain

Certain. So much so that he told me to buy his instead of another ebony titlist. He's told me numerous times how the titlists were not quality cues, epoxying of veneers, cracking of ebony, yada, yada. And then how he knows how to build good titlists while most others do not. Like I said previously, I'm not sure what to make of it because his stature in the pool world and I shoot with him regularly and would consider him a mentor. But I'll politely decline and figure something else out.

Hi Ryan I have had 2 unsigned Titlist converted by some else . Got them on trade , With them not being signed , here on AZ they are hard to give away , let alone get a desent price . That looks like a nice cue , I have my doubts it is a titlist . GL Jim

For comparison's sake, here is an ebony Titlist. Much, much thicker veneers and the points are much shorter and meet toward the bottom/base of the points. Way different geometry in how the points are cut in between these two cues.

This may simply be the cuemaker's "homage to a Titlist", using somewhat similar veneer colors but with modern day materials.

who converted it?

The cue posted barely resembles a Titlist and isn't even a full spliced cue, so I don't know what this guy is talking about.
