Is this JW on ebay legit?

I see what you mean about the rings. If I were thinking about buying it, I'd be a little wary. I'd try to contact the seller directly and ask a bunch of questions. You just never know anymore. Too many con-men out there.
 
Misaligned buttcap seen it happen berfore but the sideways JW logo is awful black and doesnt show much wear. But that would depend on the player where he holds stick most often. Not really sure on this one. But it reminds me of an old mali with a jw buttcap. But why would anyone take a perfectly good JW buttcap off a JW. :scratchhead::shrug:

I know once a butt cap comes off it is almost impossible to get it back in the right spot, so it's a perfect fit. That is the experience I had with a cue anyway. I would not just trust it to be a JW. It is too easy just to put the butt cap on any other cue. I would need a little proof myself.
 
I don't know if that cue is for real, but the other JW with the red and black veneers used to be mine and that one is a JW. No affiliation with the seller and have done no other deals with him. Just wanted to pass that along.

Looks like a JW to me, One of Bills PJ BEM cue?
As far as the Butt cap it could be loose and
out of line, As far as the maple block rings they
look ok, the extra shaft is deffinatley not original.
I have even seen one with a 3/8x10 pin and Ivory
joint with plain maple block rings, But that still dont
prove its a JW either.

Looks legit

I am no JW expert, but had one like that for a short time and looked just like it from what I remember.
