Now if know if title was on youtube it would get a million hits in the first hour, lol.

but really, what is the longest time you guys have seen a ball hang in the pocket? I am position that it was not longer than this

That's an hour and a half video. Where on the recording is the "hanger" you mentioned?

Unbelievable

171 and views and no comments and I'm guessing yours had something to do with that. ANYWAY! Common sense dictates that if the video starts almost HALFWAY in then the shot in question must be close and I find it hard to think that nooooooo one watched more than 10 secs of the vid.

Well if so you guys have reached a new high

Where in the vid, can you give specific time?

Also i disagree with your signature, you sited the wrong reason.

Why did you spend the money on a Predator shaft, your problem is aiming not deflection

Remember that the rest of the world does not see things exactly the way you do.

You're special, it appears.

Been playing for over 50 years and must have seen this a thousand times. Some longer some shorter. Sometimes they just fall usually when the player approaches and puts some weight against the table a ball may be joggled in and have to be replaced. Then sometimes they just later drop in for no real reason.
Not that unusual though.

Oh the irony of common sense.

A majority of the views was due to being sucked in by a vague title that looked interesting and turned not to be. The title should give some clue why you should even be looking at the post. So they click on the post and then click back to the home page once they see what it really is.
The bowling thread for example tells you exactly what it is about. That is better then cryptic titles to trick people into clicking on the thread.

Best part about the video is that there is a guy in a kilt playing. Plus I like Wu, so thanks for the link :)

same old thing, same old people.

The thread name was a joke as the first statement in the first post should state but the fact that your minds lead to another direction doesn't say much now does it "macguy"

I checked the link that i used to make sure it was correct and it worked fine for me, but hey mistakes can happen.

@macguy: a ball hanging for approx 45 sec IS NOT that much of an occurrence but hey anything is possible in Wonderland i guess.

THE MONTREALER and Sevendays apologizes for the mishap in the link but thanks a bunch for your efforts of watching the vid to find the shot.

Naji: please explain about the signature

The most remarkable part of the situation is not that the cue ball took so long to fall in but that the "expert" commentator got the rule wrong. Who is at the table is irrelevant to what happens to the cue ball or whether the shot is a foul. It would be good for the commentators to review the rules from time to time.

The five-second rule for pool balls hanging on the brink has been standard for about 25 years.

Your signature says the

Why did you spend the money on a Predator shaft, your problem is aiming not deflection

Aiming is critical whether you using Predator or any other shaft. Deflection is real and is minimized with LD shafts. It is like shooting with a rifel with or without a cross hair.

The "expert" commentator is Jay Helfert. I'm surprised he didn't know this rule at the time as well, though I'm sure he's since learned said rule.
