Looked in the table mechanic area and didn't see any listing for mechanics in Texas. How is that even possible? Posted over there, so thought I'd post something here, too.

I'm looking for a good, reliable table mechanic that knows his/her way around a 9' Gold Crown III. Table has been set up in my house for 8 years and haven't had anything done to it since except one end rail cushion replacement. I'd like someone to come in and take a look to see if the table needs leveling, refelting, etc. The cushions don't all sound the same, either. And I'd like to entertain the idea of having the pockets shimmed as well.

Isn't that something Dan Lateff could handle. If not, I can get Butch's number for you while in Houston this weekend.

David Danziger (281-546-6162) in Houston is one of the best. He has been setting up and covering tables his whole life. But he is busy, his work take him all the over US. He has taken care the tables in the rooms I managed and does excellent work.

Thanks for the info!

A-Tex does that type of stuff as well. I know they do that frequently but it may just be for the brands that they sell. YOu could call Moe at the north store and find out, he handles most of their billiards stuff.

I recommend Glenn, AKA Real King Cobra. I don't know where he is, or what his schedule is. Send him a PM and let him know what you want. He can tighten up your pockets the right way by extending the subrails. He can also get you some new rubber for your rails. His method for installing cloth is by far the best. Here are some pic's of my table that he setup back in July. http://good-times.webshots.com/album/564029957JGSaPV
