Supply and demand. It is not a statement of his worth or the historic significance of the man in the sport.

If a famous person sits down and starts signing serial autographs on merchandise you can generally expect the number of autographs to be inversely proportional to the value of that merchandise. The more he/she does, the less they are worth.

Personally, I think that item is expensive, not cheap. But that's just my perspective I guess.
