If You Analyze The Whole Match ,you Will See That -although Ronnie's Sb Was A Factor,,it Was Really His Shotmaking And Precision Cb Control That Won Him The Match. Also Rs Made Too Many Mistakes.

So Many Comments On This Forum Only Singles -out Ronnie's Soft Break...guys Please Watch It Again On Youtube And Count How Many Racks Actually Won By Roonie By Having Aperfect Position On 1 Ball.

If Anything - I Think One Of The Main Factor Here Is The Wing Ball Dropping Every Single Time.

Bottomline -against Rs- You 've Got To Play Your Best Game To Beat Him.

And Ronnie Did.

That

back cut on that 2 ball without scratching was a shot of a champion, and he got shape on the 3.

The match was a pleasure to watch.

The soft break was a factor, but the fact that he played incredible pool was a greater factor, period. That was some of the best 9ball I've seen in a long time. I believe it was Jerry Forsythe that summed it up by saying something like "If we had a highlight reel of Alcanos great shots, it would be an hour long"

On most racks, after Alcano would pocket the 1 ball, most of the remaining balls would still be located in the upper part of the table. It was amazing to see him go after each ball in turn, without hitting the other balls considering how they were close to one another.

The ability of Alcano to maneuver around the table showed uncanny cue ball control.

The fact that I was watching it live was quite a treat as well.

my thoughts exactly. whoever said that rotation wasn't a good game compared to 9ball or 8ball should try it first.....rotation's the best!

That was an awesome shot which required the cueball to hit a spot on the rail that's just 4-6inches wide (between a ball and the corner pocket). The cueball needing to travel 3 dots distance to strike the OB then 2 dots distance to hit this narrow window before hitting two more rails for perfect position behind of where he started.

How about the 1 ball kissing off of the 6 ball (in the middle of the table 2 dots away from the side pocket)to sink the 1 ball in the side pocket, long bank the combo'd 6ball and stop the cueball for perfect position on the 2 to the corner? Awesome!!!!

How about the extreme touch shot to send the cueball and OB to hit a long rail on opposite sides and both CB and OB tuck behind 2 balls nestled close to the short rail( cb behind one and the OB behind another)? Ralf did an equally amazing 3 rail exit shot with english to hit the 1 ball but sold out.

Nobody ever said it wasn't. It is just easier to run fewer balls for us humans. Me? I go to 12.

I agree. Ronnie played great on this match. It wasn't won just because of his soft break, although it was a bigger factor in other matches. IMO, Ralf's safety play kept him from getting into the match.

I love playing rotation when I gamble, playing with money balls is alot of fun also, whoever sinks the 5, 10, and 15 wins "x" amount for each ball from the other player. It's better than nine ball because it focuses on so many different areas of your game.
