Hi all,

Jenn gave birth to Max Barretta at 5:03pm on Wednesday, Dec 20th! She went in for a check-up, and an ultrasound showed that the umbilical cord was wrapped around the baby, so her doctor decided that an immediate C-section was a necessary precaution to ensure the baby's safety. Everything went perfectly, and both mother and baby are wonderful and healthy. Jenn is feeling great, and she asked me to pass on her thanks for all the support she's received from everyone during the past 9 months!

Jenn and Max will be able to be home for Christmas. Pictures will be forthcoming early next week.

Please join me in welcoming the newest Barretta to the world!

That's wonderful! And the icing on the cake? He's a Sagittarius!!! :D

Congrats on your victory

Jennifer, great news on what I am confdent was the best day of your life as well as Rich's and the 1st day for Max. I have run out of money to purchase kisses for shower presents so Max will not receive daily gifts although weekly is not out of the question. So happy for you and will tell our mutual friend of the great news if she hasn't heard. Thanks Melissa for taking the time to let us know; This was one Barretta event I was really "SWEATING"!!!!!!!

Update:

Mom and baby are resting comfortably in a private room, surrounded by family, and enjoying getting to know each other. Jenn feels great...she's been up and walking around with little discomfort.

She asked me to once again relay her thanks for all the support and good wishes from each of you. She is looking forward to getting home and getting online so she can relate her story and thanks personally. Also, there are tons of photos which she will post and share as soon as possible!

BTW, I consider it cheating that you got to go strait into the OR....so you need to replay it. IMO you need to experience at least one REAL contraction.
