Hello all! I am not a regular poster, but I read the threads every day. Only been a member since January, but I have enjoyed the comments and banter for quite some time.
Today is my birthday (53), and while mowing the lawn this morning, Mark Wilson called with Happy Birthday wishes. I flew to St Louis back in May for lessons, and I got to play on his 5x10 at his home. It has 4 1/2" pockets and 760 cloth. Very tough, but nice!!
Anyway, he is a true class act. Just thought I would share this with you.

Oh man, I am jealous of your experience with him. Just yesterday, I mailed a letter to him thanking him for writing such an awesome book.

Thanks for sharing.

haystj....he is a great guy. He has e-mailed and called me several times since our visit for progress updates.
And....Johnny Archer sent me a Happy B-day text as well. Wow.

you need to switch over to the other thread where we are all singing, or i'm not buying you that shot of Jack -

I enjoyed his book and definitely got something out of it but I don't get it.

I had a few questions and sent an email before I bought my own copy of the book asking for him to call me, I put it in the notes when I sent the paypal payment, and then sent another email asking again a week later.

Never got a follow up.. Kind of annoying, but I got my answers to the questions I had so it's alright.

Not trying to slam him or be rude in any way here I just didn't have the same shining perfect experience when trying to interact with him like everyone on here seems to have had.

Happy birthday.

ddadams....What is your e-mail address? I will call Mark and let him know you have questions. Not like him at all to not respond. Hope I can help...

Hello fellow birthday, I turned 40 today myself happy birthday.

Happy birthday. Mark's book has done more for my game than almost anything since I was a beginner learning how to make a proper bridge. I had leveled off in my improvement since college, and I thought I was more or less stuck. I had seen some incremental improvement from doing the Billiard University drills and from using Joe Tucker's 3rd Eye Stroke Trainer, but there were a lot of things I still didn't know about how to get a straight stroke. Now my stroke is better than ever and Mark and his book are the reason. I plan on getting a lesson in person soon. Sounds like he's a great teacher.
