Danny is a very fast player. I've seen him do a game to 150 in about an hour. Once he gets a groove going, he just seems to have a natural flow and doesn't need to stop for much analysis.
Maidhof is no slowpoke either.
I would say 2 hours for a race to 200 might be on the high end for these guys.

I agree...when Danny gets into a groove, he plays pretty quickly. His patterns are rock solid -- I have learned more about playing straight pool by watching he and Steve Lipsky play than any other reference I can think of.

Bob ran off his 300 plus in about 2.5 hrs.
He made it look easy, it was sureal to watch.

Barry Doc ...A friend of mine who happens to be a co worker of yours said to say thanks a lot for not taking him to see the match .........

200-120 good match
Can't wait until 7:00
I don't think either player thought this was a good match. I didn't stick around to talk to either of them, because they had a lot of people around them, but based on their body english and eye-rolling, I think each of them felt their performance was sub-par.
I'm home now, but going back for the 7:00 show. I really hope it gets better. There were too many "unforced" errors.
Comet shuts down their incoming internet while Accu-Stats is sending (so as not to tie up bandwidth), so I can't report from there during the match.

Like I said earlier, lots of unforced errors. Marop and I were talking on the phone while watching some of it and couldn't believe what was happening.

Maidhof had a nice rhythm going there for a while but then missed too many easy ones. Danny came back a bit but he, too missed many easy shots. They said Maidhof practiced a bit first and Danny came in kind of cold.

I bet tonight is a little smoother.

Danny Wins Second Match

200-194 What a nail biter ! still a lot of unforced errors.
I sure as hell enjoyed it. We need more 14.1 matches streamed.

Yeah. I hope someone made enough dough to do something like that again.
Although there were some unforced errors, there were a lot of good patterns.

I fully agree. This was very enjoyable to watch, especially at the end. What is an unforced error? Is that the opposite of a safety?

I was there and yes, I thought it was funny. And I lost! I like DH and so what if he isn't the fastest player on the planet, he's a good guy. By the way, he just finished his last round of the World Open-2006.

Danny,
Welcome to the "Online Azbilliards Zoo" - now all we need is "the snapper" and "the phone" - by the way is "the phone" still shooting pool???

What I mean is a uncharacteristic miss or not getting shape where
they both normally would.
There where only two safties played I believe total in both matches,
I'll have to check my very sloppy notes:rolleyes:

Thanks,
Doc
