I'd love to buy and shoot with cues that cost a grand, but I simply can't afford it. And if I could, I'd be worried sick about losing it or leaving it in a bar somewhere.

I'm with you! I have never owned a cue stick that cost $1,000 or more. Most of the cues I ever played with were a few hundred dollars at most, but they got the job done! :)

I have a fancy cue because, screw it. If I'm going to go out there and play like a jackass, I'm at least going to look good doing it! :D
