It's True. What do we do?

I mean't my words in a joking manner but in all seriousness, Schon sold out. And we have entered the Wal-Mart Schon era(like the ebay DP era we are also in).

almost,

Schon didn't sell out.

All that has happened is one of the Distributors Schon sells to made a deal with CSN stores. this is an online fulfillment service for websites. This Distributor is the same one that sells many other products through the conventional avenues that we have all purchased through. The pricing won't change, the quality won't change. All that might happen is that Schon can sell a few more cues which I am sure they could use to do in this tough economic time.

no. they most certainly have not sold out. this was dicussed to death on the other threads. it is a re-seller service using walmart's website, the same way re-sellers use amazon. schon is building the same cues they always did and then selling them to thier distributors and the distributors are trying to sell them any way they can, including using walmart. schon is not selling directly to walmart. you can not buy the cues in walmart stores. this will have ZERO effect on the value of the cues. they are not going into hyper drive mass production to fill the shelves of walmart stores, there was no meeting between the buyers for walmart and the top brass of schon where schon's reps were told to bend and take the ass screwing of a lifetime. what dale perry did is reprehensible in my opinion. those cues on ebay are sold right through him. he did go into hyper drive production to mass market his cues and in the process hurt the value of his first cues sold to customers. that is not what schon is doing. dale sold his original customs for north of 400 - 500 bucks. the ebay cookie cutter cues sell for south of 200. the schons being re-sold on the walmart site are the same prices and models you can get anywhere else, they are no different and no cheaper. this may be the dumbest thing i've seen in almost two years on az.

Wal-Mart is not making Schon cues. Please explain why the quality would suffer.

You're suffering from reversing the sufficient and necessary conditions of Walmart and the quality of their goods.

By the way, the sky is falling.

I would not matter if it did or not. The perception that something sold at Walmart must be produced in mass and at a low price for them to sell it exists. We know it is a fact that certain name brand products like clothes, shoes and so on "DO"
make product lines to a lower quality and price to be sold in chain stores. Many of the store brands are made by major makers with the store label and not made exactly like the makers own name brand. Everybody knows in China the same factory that makes the junk makes the top stuff as well like with tires. It is all perception and it is real. The idea you can buy a Schon at Walmart may be good for the person who who has made the deal with Walmart, but not for the owners and fans of Schon cues. It cheapens what was a good name in cues and makes them common.
