It's Yankee time, pooey on the Red Sox

Let's be reasonable, the Astros are the best team in baseball. If Altuve, and McCullars hadn't been injured right at the time the regular season was wrapping up, and during the playoffs, the Astros would've easily eliminated the Red Sox, and won the WS. When Altuve pulled up, going to first base, in the series with the Red Sox, we all knew the season was over for the Astros, because they had so many other injuries.

Easily? I don't think so. They may have won but definitely not easily. Last years Sox team was a team of destiny.

To the OP :p

oh yeah,pool has it's place,
but its time to root for the Yankees

Hmmm, let's see, the Yankees huh?

You mean the team that spends millions upon millions of dollars every year trying to buy a World Series title instead of bringing players along through their farm system?

If it wasn't the largest and most financially equipped market in baseball, the Yankees wouldn't have as many titles as they do. Just my opinion.

Hmmm....let's have a look at reality. Looks to me like the Yankees aren't the ones trying to win with the checkbook these days.

That's one year. Go back a few. They're historically one of if not the biggest spender. BTW, i checked avg. and min salary. Min. is 500,000+ and avg. is 2mil.+ Good gig if you can play

As a pitcher in the AL, you seldom get a chance to bat. It's because of this that I chose not to tryout and focused my attention on playing pool. ⚾😆

To be fair, the Red Sox spend as much as the Yankees lately...but those two aren't the only high spenders. There are about 10 teams that spend like that, at least. Of course, its proven out that doesn't always work. It certainly help tho...

And this is coming from a lifelong Red Sox fan. Last year was pretty special. I keep trying to tell my kids and other younger folks that it doesn't just happen like its been happening in New England the last 20 years...we are spoiled. We lived through a very long drought (beyond the Celtics) and those of us who are old enough recognize that. So the recent winning in all four sports has been extra special. :p

Yes, the Yanks spend a lot- but let us not forget the years of Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera, Bernie Williams, and Jorge Posada, Andy Pettit- all were home grown on that team and Paul O'Neil and Scott Brosius were not expensive acquisitions - its all about performance and chemistry- NOT money.

I dunno...red sox fan looks okay to me

Actually, I'm more of a player fan..
One now winding up his career..
The pride of Madras Oregon..
Played for both Red Sox and Yankees..

Jacoby Ellsbury

Kind of hard to stick with a team these days
because of all the trades...

The only reason anyone would trade/sell Babe Ruth, is to fund a Broadway musical.......LoL

New York Yankees all the way this year but thats only my opinion.

You know what they say about opinions, don't you?
Opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one and they usually stink

Koop - just kidding. Go Yanks
