I've been booted from apa :)

I'm not sure it's that simple. If they do that for one, technically they must do it for all. I agree it seems stupid but if it is to be dealt with, the rule needs to be changed and not handled on a case by case basis. Otherwise, what you're saying is all rules are at the discretion of the LO. Imagine the chaos that could create.

but all rules are at the descretion of the LO. It's his business, be bought and paid for it. If he wants to incur an extra cost and send the money in himself for that forfeit to APA HQ, why would APA give a rats ass ? They got paid, and don't care where the money came from.

And he can pick and choose when to do it. His business, his descretion. The same way, a customer in one store might get a refund, but in another store may not. One customer puts up a stink, the others says, ok ok, I was not sure, thanks anyways.

Diff owners, they are not robots. The good ones know what to do, which is dont' do what the bad ones do. Hey, no skin off my teeth, but chasing more teams away can't be good for business, it just can't be, not over $60.

and they are losing a lot of teams. Teams that were playing 3 and 4 nights a week our saying they have had enough and leaving.

:ok:

TAP League will welcome you with open arms.

You can start playing in a couple weeks.

And just think about it.......Dream Team event in Valley Forge coming in
the spring where your team can play for $10,000.

Three times a year you have a title holder in Lancaster where you play for $3,000-$4,000.

Then every year you get to play for a free trip to the Nationals.

In TAP, you can have fun plus win some money. And if you think,
you are too good, there is TAP EXTREME for semi-pro players.

There is also eight ball, nine ball, and ten ball if you can get enough teams.

I'd love to but I would have to travel to Hanover every week :(

I just found out that on Thursday nights a team dropped out completely. Instead of taking them off the schedule they let them on and they're making everyone pay $30 for that week. FOR A MATCH THAT CANT BE PLAYED lol. Peles this happen in anyone else league ? Am I the only one who thinks this is crazy lol

trob...Didn't you used to live in WI? Sounds like you're now in PA.

I've been arguing with them over money owed from last session. The only non smoking bar closed. That left a team with a bunch of minors with no place to play. I have no idea why they were aloud in the league anyway. it was there first session and there was more then one smoking bar in the league. so 2 matches against this team didn't happen because well..they couldn't! This should have changed to bye weeks but not in the money grubbing apa. They felt that I should pay out $60 for 2 matches that not only didn't happen but couldn't happen. I'm not giving someone free money with no good or services in return. They did decide to pick up one week but I still refused. I understand there rule saying you have to pay for forfeits but the match couldn't happen! lol so last night I text and said I'm not paying so if that means were done were done. It text me back ok and My team has been deleted this morning lol It's no skin off my back.. I was tired of playing 4's who's only knowledge of the game was to hit every ball as hard as they could any way. I feel bad for the rest of the people on my team but they agreed with me thats it's ridiculous ..

Dam 4s who can't play obviously someone's doing something right because in our neck of the woods u can run into 4s who can run racks

Hey, remember, it's all about the PRIZE FUND, so tell them rat bastards to pony up the cheese and quit their b1tchin ;)

PS: What a bush league move to do to your CUSTOMERS. I mean, the players understand they are customers, right ? And they can all stand up to the LO. Heck, form a players alliance, with all the captains from every night of the week and start telling the LO how things are gonna be run from now on :) What choice does he have, to call your bluff ??

This practice sounds like it fits their business model exactly. Make up matches in APA are tough. Too little time and too slow playing. We do makeups in BCA and usually get it done without too much headache.

Yea I've heard you can goto nationals and have 4s string racks on you. I understand a 4 in one are is different from another but damn! Your 9's must be SVB lol

I'm still trying to understand the op. The kids can play in a bar where there is alcohol but not a bar where there is smoking?

Is that right?

Essentially yes. Pa drinking laws are so screwed up lol it comes down to smoking and pa liquor board who can take your license away for any reason at any time. So bars don't allow minors. A license goes for over 160k when sold so they take no risks. Lets put ot this way ... if you bar a bar in pa a bank wont give you a loan to cover the license because you can lose it for the first mistake you make. Lol Cobblestones was where they played out of. That was no smoking but was more a restaurant then a bar. I can only explain it like olive garden has a bar buts not thought of like that. It's a restaurant because of the percentage of food to booze they sell so it's not a bar.
