What's the best epoxy you use when installing an
Ivory ferrule?

Is G/5 Adhesive ok? or Should I use a much longer harding
type of epoxy?

I use threaded/capped Ivory ferrules.
(with fiber pad)

ps....Gorilla Super glue has been working GREAT for tips.
(much thinner than Loctite 454....but...more impact
strength)

G5 will adhere well, but will produce a "glue line" from soaking into the shaft end grain before it hardens.

Any 5 minute epoxy is fine for an Ivory or non-Ivory Ferrule, I use Devcon and it works very well. With all ferrules Ivory or not insure that the bottom of the ferrule and the wood were they meet is epoxy free or you will have a glue line were they meet.

However, you can also use an epoxy tint, West Systems makes White tint that works well with any epoxy. This is the method I use and I never have a glue line.

Hope this helps
