Expected delivery at end of the year

Don't bother to call schon because they will only be available on here and through me

Right now I expect to do three different styles with the special Ivory joint

ranging from $1200 for the simplest model to $1800 for a very few box cues

the box cues will be coca bola only

Evan really wants to make them unique

these prices are not firm, but i am only taking orders for about 7 of each
design

you guys know my old school taste and can expect something along those lines

the ivory itself will cause the cues to cost a little more
but oh.what a desirable cue

i have been trying to get evan to do this for 12 years

pm me your name and interest level

all previous buyers of the special editions will be allowed to reserve
one of these if you respond by July 4

after that its first come first serve
and these will not be done again

thanks to all o f you who have been involved in these hoppes and tributes
now its ivory joints and the best designs i can think of from the best cues ever made

thanks
dean

only a few of each style will ever be made
only one production

it will never get any better than this

order now whether you have ever bought before or not

the joint will be a piloted joint and regular Schon shafts will fit it

the joint will be something Evan is developing for these cues and unlike any he has used before

i used to have a cocobolo schon with a 5/16x14 piloted ivory joint (made by schon) and it played really good...

i am sure these will be fantastic..

I Can't Speak For Deanoc But......

Deanoc is the obviously the only one that can reliably answer the questions being posed. I previously discussed Schon's 1st Schon Tribute with Deanoc at great length and bought one of the Schon Balabushka cues......an absolutely gorgerous cue. I also conversed with Deanoc about Schon's Hoppe & Mosconi cue projects as well. And Deanoc now has my name on the list for an ivory joint Schon cue.

Based upon all my prior discussion with Deanoc about the three prior Schon tribute cues, I can tell you this for sure. In all likelihood, these ivory joint Schon cues will not have mitred sharp points....ain't gonna happen........Evan Clarke admittedly makes beautiful cues and sharp points were inquired about all the time with the first 3 Schon Tribute Cues.....Nope......CNC cuts are what the design will have......if sharp points are a must, you'll need to find another cue-maker.

Sharp points do not make the cue play better but I know that's what everyone seems to desires......if the cue doesn't have sharp points, then there must be something wrong with the cue or cue-maker......... That's hardly the situtaion but to each their own I suppose. The first three Schon tribute cues turned out to be beautiful cues and so will these Schon ivory joint cues too and CNC cuts will be the cue design.

In regard to the pin, perhaps Evan may choose to use another pin but Schon's hallmark has been their perfectly milled and matched 5/16x14 piloted steel joint cues. In all probability, that's what these cues will have as well but these cue joints will be ivory.......not phenolic or ivorine or any other ivory looking like material. So only Evan can decide what would work best. However, since Deanoc told me that when the ivory joint cue arrives, I could use the shafts from my 1st Schon tribute cue (Balabushka) with the new ivory joint Schon cue, I 'm pretty sure the joint will be a 5/16x14 joint since all of the Schon's tribute cues had 5/16x14 piloted steel joints.

I dunno if my post helps but the questions being posed were all asked on the first three (3) tribute cues and so none of this is new ground. However, Deanoc is the only person who can ultimately put to rest any questions or concerns anyone might harbor over this really unique and special Schon cue project.

the subject of points is not final yet

box cues have no points
a six point cue under consideration that will please
even the old time purist

and a wrapless cue with a no points but beautiful wood is under discussion

Schon pointed cues are also an option

no one who bought the tributes was disappointed with the cues
and the quality and hit will be pure Schon

which means it plays as good as any cue made and better than most

there are people who prefer the looks of sharp points, but according to
Bob Runde "there is no difference in the play"

and Bob still makes sharp pointed cues with a reputation for
hitting great

i invite question by pm from interested buyers

we are expecting these to be something great
i have had the ivory at Schon for 12 years waiting for this opportunity
