i like the way ivory ferrules look but to be honest i don't like the way they hit. i like lbm or juma. those are the two that i've noticed and liked right off the bat

Ivory is easy to keep clean. It isn't my favorite ferrule material for playing. I prefer lbm, though I am trying out a juma based shaft right now and liking it.

Good LBM is getting harder to find I hear. Alot of people love ivory.

From my own personal observations, Ivory has a nice crisp yet smooth hit. LBM is pretty stiff and sharp hit. Juma, I have one cue that has a juma ferrule on one of the shafts, the hit feels similar to ivory but a little stiffer.

I've always had no problem with keeping any of my ferrules clean, that's because I run my thumb across them in between each run.

I have heard ivory can crack......never had this problem on any of my cues. It is polished and looks the best of any material imo. I love how these cues hit as well.
My cues with various plastic products also play very well. no worries about them getting hurt either.
