Hi all, I bought me a J&J cue the other day and Its about 18.7 oz. I want to try and take the weight bolt out to make it close to 18 oz. I took the bumper off and the bolt that the bumper screws into, is that the weight bolt? I could not see anything else down in the butt. It is pretty much 18 oz with that out but then there is nothing to screw the bumper back into. I can take pics if need be, if I havnt explained it good enough. Thanks.

I took the bolt out of mine and when I decided it was the weight I wanted, I super glued the bumper to the butt. Lol.

JJ Break/Jump cue is hollow at lest 8 inches from bottom. I have one and banged it down on the floor and it exploded. Think, these cues are imported from asia to Santa Fe Springs CA. What is in those hollow butts before delivery to end user? Hmmmm.

What you need is an Aluminum Weight Bolt, you can buy one from Atlas Billiards Supply.
