Went down to Vegas this year mainly to watch, first big tournament Ive been to in alot of years. Was great seeing the pros in person. Talked to Gabe Owen and Corey Duel for a little bit.
Walked with Earl trying to calm him down and ward off a fist fight with the guy he played in the opening round match. They were walking the corridor screaming at each other...... As Gabe said best in one word.... "Classic".

The best part of the whole trip for me though was winning a Justis case from a raffle he was having. Jack and his wife are truely very nice people, and the case speaks for itself. His cases are the finest crafted, best looking works of art that have ever been produced.
I have owned Its George (original and brunswick) Instrokes, Fellinis etc etc etc..... this is the only case my wife has ever looked at and said.... wow, thats a really nice case...... :D
Big thanks to Jack for the case!!!!

Thanks Rivercity! Sounds like you had fun. Do you see going to more tournaments in your future?

Definately. I kind of got out of the scene about 10 -12 years ago when I came to Alaska. But would love to attend more in the future. Who knows, one day I may be able to work the rust off and play some.
Layed low in Vegas, had a couple of good nights at the Cue Club. But Im feeling it again which is great.
Looked for Breakup down there, never met up with him though.
The night I stopped by the Fury room was a little strange. Place was dead (again, I have poor timing.....lol)
Also while down there, met up with Mike G at the Babys Pro shop booth. Shot the bull for a while and talked about the masters tourny he was playing in.
Had a great time, everybody I talked to was pretty cool. Was a nice atmosphere.

It seems to me the time to go to the Fury room is early on when everything is just starting. You are like me in that there are other things to see and do. Getting side tracked easy, I come back later and guess what knowone there!

Watching the masters is where you probably would have found me if I was there. (I'm flying out for the VNEA this Sunday.) I glad you enjoyed it and I hope this does renew that passion of getting in the mix again.
