Jackson MI, Kalamazoo Fri-Sat tournys?

I'm going to be in the Jackson/Kalamazoo Michigan area this weekend and would like to play in a couple local touraments. I saw a place called gameon in Jackson has $100 added tournys on Fri and Saturday. Anyone know how many players, is it a safe place etc. http://insideenglish.net/tournaments.htm

There's also a place in Jackson called The Garage. They have a bunch of bar tables, and run occasional tournaments too. Kalamazoo has Playtime, mostly 9', with a few barboxes. BTW, Jackson and Kzoo are 60 miles apart.

Thanks- I Know they are about an hour apart. Have you ever been to Gameon in jackson?
 
Hello, word has it that there is a big event this weekend in Jackson. Not sure which hall it is at so you would probably have to look them both up online and call. Just heard about it the other night. I believe it is being considered a warmup to next weekend's state finals in Battle Creek. Should be several high end players there.

The Big event was at Avenue Billiards. The Garage is now called Gameon Billiards. I met alot of nice people at both places but the highlight was playing some cheap sets with Bucky Bell. He is in his upper 60s now, he knows the game as well as any and still plays pretty well too! He was a complete gentelman and a joy to play and talk with!
