Jacoby "Gladiator" - Cue of the year.

Wow. Thats an interesting looking cue.

Might be worth a shot to post what he MAY be looking to get, to judge interest on it.

The best offer he has received is 6k. Considering its a 13k package its a little low. If anyone has something better to offer. Let me know.

$6k is a TON more than he probably has invested in it.

Best of luck to him with the sale.

That's $13K at full retail...of which almost no one ever pays. If he was offered $6K...take the money and run!! Gettin' greedy and he'll get left holding the bag.

Understood thats full retail, but 6K is less then half. I dont know where you shop, but I doubt your getting cues at less then 1/2 full retail. I think somewhere between 7-8k is doable. ITs still 40% off retail.

He doesnt need the money, so he doesnt need to sell it to just sell it. Even the jacoby folks think 6k is a little low.

something is only worth what people are willing to pay.. dale perry says his cues are worth 1,200 or so.. but they sell for 100 to 250 on ebay all day long...

its a unique cue with alot of work.. but i think most people with 8k to spend on a cue is going to try a buy a szamboti or something of that nature...

best of luck with your sale.. i am actually suprised they were able to sell all the tickets.. when i left on monday they had a huge stack of them..

Find a Jacoby collector, and you may well be in $$. GLWS.

i was gioving this post alot of thought.. it may be in your friends best interest to consign it to a high end cue dealer to middle a deal with a collector for him..

once its in the hands of a well respected reseller.. that may also help your chances on getting a higher amount of cash for it....

no offense but alot of people who can afford it may be apprehensive dealing with somebody who is new and has such low posts and feedback..

with that being said.. if your friend is more well known in cue collecting world that he should not have any problems.. this day and age reputation means alot and more and more people are ripping each other off for next to nothing..

best of luck with your sale..

For what it is worth, the poster (Jason) is a very good friend of mine and we play on a few teams together.. I am an Authorized Jacoby dealer, so if anyone has any questions or qualms with regards to the purchase of this cue package, I'd be happy to assist in any way possible..

P. S. - The whole Jacoby crew are some of the BEST people in business, hands down! Great people, great cues, and their Edge Hybrid shaft might be the best LD shaft on the market..
