Jacoby Hybrid might be one of the best LD shafts on the market...

I've known Dave Jacoby for years. Even back when he was first started in the cue industry.

I'm really impressed with what Dave and his son Brandon have accomplished. Everytime I call or try to talk to them they're here, there and everywhere.

I tried about 2 years ago to get one of their hybrid ld shafts but they didn't have one that fit my jacked up screw on the custom cue i had.

Then a year later I tried to get one again, and again they didn't have one on hand.

It turns out that with little advertising at all these guys keep running out of shafts.

Finally i had a cue that has a quick release joint and they have one that fits on hand but just barely. By that i mean they had to look real hard.

Bottom line is I played with one of these puppues for an hour or 2 and it played great. I was real disappointed last year when i didn't get one.

I am getting one now and can't wait to really put it to the test.

I can't think of anyone that I would want to deal with more than Dave and Brandon. These guys still treat the business like they did when Dave Jacoby started it back in 1912:rolleyes: just kidding. But Dave has been at it for awhile.

And we all know practice makes Perfect.

Anyone else had any success with these shafts? I'm getting the 12.75.

That's the one I used for a couple of hours.

Let's hear some input please.......

There very well-built but as far as deflection goes,I don't find
them in the same realm with Predator.
But if you are liking a shaft that has less than most maple shafts,
there pretty good.

I use a predator now amd I can't tell too much difference.........

I'll know more when i get the shaft but if I remember right it held the line about the same I thought.

Could be wrong but time will tell.

Funny, to me the Jacoby Hybrid seems to deflect about as much as a Z2. I would go as far to say it is on par (as far as deflection goes) with the best LD shafts on the market. I currently own a OB2, Z2 and Jacoby Hybrid.

I would like to add that the Jacoby Hybrid has the advantage of being 100% customizable.

Jacoby Hybrid

I use one and really like how it plays. Nice sound, sweet hit! Highly recommended!

Jacoby LD shaft

I bought one of his cues at the Derby. I would be interested in knowing how his LD shaft plays and if it stays straight. I had a guy at the Derby tell me he bought one and wasn't happy with it, but that's just one guy. I like the cue I bought, but it sure has a lot more deflection than my 1st gen pred shafts. I hope you will keep us posted. I might be interested in trying one. Thanks..SteveD
