Thinking about picking up another cue and was wondering about experience's with these two brands. I've been using a Joss 19 oz and like it but thinking of going back to a 21 oz stick. I would like info on any problems you've had and the possitive aspect's of each brand.
Thanks for any info and opinions.

i prefer Pechauer, seems to have less squirt, i have a JP7 i just purchased a couple weeks ago not bad at all just can't get the feel for it, just to used to my Scruggs i guess. i have nothing against Jacoby cues i've shot with a few, just prefer Pechauer out of the two.

I have been playing with a Pechauer for about 6 years now. I really like everything about them. Mine is a custom cue that I had them make about 5 years ago. I have never played with a Jacoby so I cannot give any info on them. The main thing is, find the cue that best fits your stroke. Good luck in your decision.

??????

I've owned both the Pechauer will be more of a familiar hit to you. If I were
you I might consider an early 90's Schon. Both Jacoby an Pechauer are quality production cues. Jacoby uses a lined s/steel joint-Pechauer have small butts where the Schon should feel good to you. The Joss you have is also a good cue an if your not in a hurry you can pick one up here on the forum very reasonable.

Just check the wanted for sale forum and find something you like..
There are plenty of cues. Best deal right now....IMO is the Jim Buss that is for sale by Jazz. You can't go wrong buying that cue.

Was looking at the Pechauer website and like the threaded fitting of the cues, is this a common way to assemble cues?

I've always been a Schon man.

I played with a friends Pechaur the other day which had the phenolic joint and the big pin. I wasn't expecting much...but was REALLY impressed with how it hit. Really impressed.

I have a Joss, Pechauer, and Jacoby.
To me the hit and feel of all three is
very similar. If I had to pick one, I'd
probably give Joss a very slight edge.
Mine are all in the 20 oz. range.

I believe the first production Joss I ever had was one of the better cues I've ever owned and quite regret trading it. Oh well! :D

How does the synthetic joint compare to steel joint concerning hit, is it a softer hit or are there other factors that effect hit and feedback more?

I've been playing with a Pechauer P08, 18.5 oz for 2 years now. I love this cue!! My vote is for the Pechauer. I played with my friend's Schon the other day, and the hit felt pretty similar. I'm not sure how old the Schon is, but I still preffered mine P08. :D
