JAM vs Blackjack

JAM and Blackjack seem to be excellent representatives of two opposing viewpoints, pro and against the IPT respectively. Maybe we could have them debate heads-up on a forum thread or chat, or have users submit questions that they could both answer? This if of course only if they wish to do so and have the time.

There's a phrase that springs to mind right now....

"A nod's as good as wink to a blind bat, know what I mean?"

I'd credit Eric Idle with that one.

Sums it all up, I think.

BS

(not aimed at Blackjack or JAM - just the dudes that feel like dragging this one on forever..... :o )

Blackjack vs JAM???

I have nothing but respect for Jennie and she knows that. I don't have to agree on every issue with someone to remain friendly and respectful. Don't turn this into something that its not. I've said this to everybody I've talked to when expressing my ideas about advancing the sport - I'm on pool's side. Jennie and I have talked about that privately and we agree on more issues than you would think. If it's good for pool, I'm for it. If it is just good for a handful of individuals, I'm not for it. If you read my post you would have seen that my intention is not to debate this issue. It is to put a plan into action. I'm not going to publicly argue and defend my views about this for yours or anybody else's entertainment. My views on advancing our sport are well documented. I have a plan of action. The hard part is implementing that plan of action amongst the personalities within our game, and within our industry. The main problem I have with the IPT is that once again we have an outsider coming in to advance our sport in a direction that could have fatal consequences if they are not careful. That's my concern, and it has absolutely nothing to do with the respect I have for JAM and her opinions on this issue.

Two Thumbs Up!

I agree with u Blackjack, there's no need to choose who's the best between both of them.

JAM and Blackjack are both good,so why not we thank both of them for what they had done to us for all this long.

I just wanna say Thank You to JAM and Blackjack for all their hard work.Keep up the good work guys!

Two Thumbs Up,1 for JAM and another for Blackjack.

Thank You

I guess the title of this post was a little misleading; I didn't mean to pit blackjack and JAM against each other, just have them share their viewpoints on the issue. However, it looks like that was done in other threads, so dats dat.

The problem I have is how you get off calling him an "outsider". He is a self professed pool player who has been playing pool for years and initially met Sigel by paying him large cash for private lessons (showing a true passion for the game). He seems like a amature pool player and fan with a love for the game. Where do you get off ostrasizing him like you are? Why should he feel he is not welcome to attempt to create a pool tour with his great means at his disposal and the help of possibly the most dominant player of the modern era? Is Sigel an outsider to ya as well BJ? Because he is obviously quite involved and I would think he is a pretty good consultant on most things pool. I am sure he knows a thing or two about pool and has some good ideas on how to promote it.

An "outsider", do you know how that sounds? I know it is not your intention but you come off like a stuck up member of some elite club that snubs their nose and anyone not in the in. Sorry man, Kevin Trudeau has just as much a right to attempt to run a pool tour as anyone else in the world and he does not need your permission to do so or anyone elses.

I just saved a bunch of money by switching to Geico.
Too funny, I just took a bite of cereal when I scrolled down to see this and spit it out all over my desk. :D
