jamie bowman vs shawn putman

this was covered in the roll call:who is the best in the state thread. but for fun I'll rehash what I put there and was 2nd by others

1. chad vilmont
2. whitey walker
3. jon kucharo
4. scott kitto
5. josh joshson

and dont forget former world champ who hardly ever plays but if he did would be 1 or 2 ................don mccoy

after the pros 10-15 guys are fighting for the next spot without much difference imo but of course I think the des moines guys are next in line for the tier. but on any given day it could be anyone of those 10-15 guys. dont ask me to name all of them. but if anybody else wants to throw the names out go ahead.

i was thinking the quad cities as part of it too!
1. James Baraks
2. Jesse Bowman
3. Chad Vilmont
4. Jon Kucharo
5. Scott Kitto

but dont forget whitey. give him a week to get in stroke and who knows what happens, well maybe #5.

if you count the qc your list looks good. I dont know what you guys feed your players over there but that is just sick.

it would be tough to find a 1-10 tougher than the quad city bunch. what city in the us compares? especially for the size.

does kitto play better than josh? maybe right now. how about a year ago?

any given day

It's a coin flip amongst most of the Ia/Quad city guys on any given day.
I've seen anyone of them beat the other in various formats. And there are ALOT of good spoilers around. It's all abunch of "guessing" everyone has thier favorite and will woof them up but gambling on the outcome is 50/50 at best.

Just my 1/2 cents worth

Al

its kinda hard to say it's a coin flip. match them up for 12 hours and the better player is gonna come out ahead. now i don't know who that would be but i would drive to the qc to watch though. any of them are capable of jumping up and beating anyone on a bartable. and as far as action if you think that you have game drive to the qc and if you still have money left you did something.

I dont know if this match will take place but i got your back jamie. jamie will win playing 8 ball
'' on a bar table ''

are bowman and putnam going to play? if so i would like to watch that? see if you can set it up for them to play at the nationals. what do you think those guys that we were talking about earlier need from alcano and orcollo and those guys? just a thought

Don't let Tommy Hernandez sneak up on you. His name should be thrown in that hat, too. He and the rest of the QC crew would routinely take top 10 spots at ANY tourney they went to...

I got the chance to watch Tommy play in Orlando once, he was pretty impressive. Jesse killed everyone in the 8ball tournament there, and then in the 9 ball tournament he had to give too much weight, (even to players like Stan Tourenga) I thought that was silly.

Orlando Open (August 2005)

Open Division
1st Place Jesse Bowman
2nd Place Shane Van Boeing
3rd Place Clay Carman
4th Place Tommy Hernandez

Yep, i was there. Those are the results from the 8-ball tourney. Dont think I slept. We spent all freaking night in the hot tub after the touneys closed up, then back to the room to play, then back to get more beer. I needed a vacation when it was over.
