Here in the South the ring games and mini events have only been open to amateur players only during the amateur events. But I think they will run open events along with the amateur ones if enough players are there to support them. I have seen them do this.

I suggest you contact the viking tour directly at http://www.vikingcue.com/9balltour/index.php

Please Call 1-800-200-POOL or Email: vikingtour2@yahoo.com
to Verify Event Date & Location.

sounds good

Wish there were more Open events ...I will play more in some amateur
events before I cry about it anymore.

anyone planning on attending the friday night ring game, i would like to attend but fear it may not acquire many players the night before?

The last 2 events around Atlanta had 16 and 32 players in them.

And from the results at the last Viking event in Columbus it looked like they had a pretty good 10-ball ring game.

"they also competed for $1350 up for grabs in the 10-Ball ring games held throughout the weekend." from http://www.vikingcue.com/9balltour/results.php?resultsid=24

Matt, I have seen you play in Marietta. Trust me, you only want to play in Amateur events.........LOL JK you know we luv'ya and miss your streams.

ya i was in that ring game but that was the night of the tournament not the night before i plan on attending the tournament and the saturday night ring game just curious if anyone is attending the friday night ring?

I'm playing in the mini event tonight and I have to tell everyone that Cornfed's is looking great. The owner (Dane) really brought the place back up to date and he recovered all the tables in Simonis 860 and they play great.

Cheers to a room owner investing in his room and providing great equipmant and a great event.

I have to agree. Me and my friends enjoyed playing at Cornfeds this weekend. Great food and I love the chairs they have, they are so comfortable.

Does anyone know who is still in the event?

1st David Rice
2nd Ed Hancock
3rd Robert Frost
4th Luke Hawkins
5th-6th
Alex Olinger
Mike Cantrell
7-8th
Shane Sizemore
(not sure of other guys name)

i also agree that they really did a great job with the place, few tables still had dead rails though but all in all it was a lot better than the event a couple months ago.
