Janet Atwell--Fighting Cancer

Message from Janet's facebook page. She saw her oncologist yesterday for the first time. Maybe a little bumpier road than expected.

"Just wanted to update everyone. I saw Dr. Prill the oncologist today. I received more bad news but trying to stay positive and just see it as a small hurdle in the road to being cured. I was told that I do have to have chemo 18-24 weeks and then followed by radiation. Initially she had thought that I wouldn't need radiation. So at this point, just waiting for my incisions to heal completely and doing more diagnostic testing to see if the cancer has spread anywhere. Today was emotionally draining and disappointing but nothing that I can't overcome. Just have to regroup and go at it 100%.

just a thought...

i received a note from one of janet's friends...

it seems she is having a bit of hard time.

i can well understand [as well as a man can] cause i have experienced other woman who have had breast cancer.

as we all know, sometimes the cure is as hard, or even harder than the problem; but when it is life saving you just have no choice but to endure the hardship.

maybe some of you can bring her spirits up. that would be great.
maybe some of you could help with finances, that would be great too.

you can find her fundraiser if you choose to on page one.

I always read her posts on Facebook. She is truly an inspiration. I admire her so much.
