Greetings to all. I have had these in an envelope in my closet now for about 40 years. I got them when i was around 12 years old and they were signed to me by some of the greats.
At the 1972 Tournament in Johnston City at Jansco's Place, i was in the arcade room playing on the quarter table when my dad walked in and sayed, jeff, someone here i want you to meet. When i turned around it was the big guy himself, Minnesota Fats. So we talked a minute then i ask for his autograph and he layed the program on the pool table and hand signed it, thats right, thats no stamp there folks.
So later i was watching the Tournament and my dad says, hey, go get Fast Eddies autograph and say this to him as he signs it. So he told me what to say and i was on my way. I walked up to Allen who was setting at the end of the table where they sat to sign programs and i ask for his autograph and as he started to sign it, i said, Fast Eddie, you better practice up because in 10 years i'm going to come back and take your money. He just smiled and signed my program. Now i don't know how he signed other peoples programs but he signed mine, To Jeff Martin, Hit Them Good, Ronnie "Fast Eddie" Allen. I dont know if that was just for me or if he would sign programs in differnt ways for other people. But i always like to think it was just for me because of what i said. I wonder sometimes if he would remember that moment in time.
And who knew that a few days later the feds would raid the place and that would be the last Tournament at Jansco's in Jonhston City forever.
Now it's 1973 and i am in Louisville, just little ways down the road from my home town of Lexington, and it's the Kentucky Classic Professional 14.1 Pocket Billiard Championship and i managed to get two more greats autographs, Luther Lassiter and Irving Crane. I only wish i could have gotten Steve Mizeraks too. Why i didn't, i don't know. Just timing i guess.
Now on all three of these programs, the covers are not perfect, they do have scuffs and old tape marks and the 1973 one has a water ring mark on the front cover. But the inside pages on all them are in good shape. I can e-mail scanned pictures or post them here if you want, plus you might like to see some of the other players that attended these tourneys like Danny Diliberto, Harry "The Horse" McConnell, Omaha Fats, Bill "Mustache" Incardona at Jansco's and Steve Mizerak, Peter Margo, Mark Beilfuss and Ray Martin at the Louisville Tournament and some of the old ads and things inside them.
Next i have ticket stubs from the Jansco Tournaments. I can only date 2 of them because they did not put dates on the tickets. The 2 i can date is only because they are from the only Spring Time Tournatment held ever, which was the 1972 Tournament of Champions, all the other tournaments were called the World Championships held in the fall. There was no other Spring Time Tournaments held at Jansco's in Johnston City before or after that ever. So that makes them a extra rare breed of stubs. They are numbered 1043/1044. 2 others are numbered 2299/2300. 1 is 1232 and 1 is 210. 6 stubs in all.
UPDATE: Ticket Stubs with Book of Matches have been SOLD. 7-8-2012
I also have a book of used mathes from Jansco's Show Bar and i have 2 motels stubs, 1 is from the time of the 1972 tournament at Jansco's and 1 is from the time of the 1969 Jansco's Tournament. The ticket stubs with matches and motel stubs will go as one group. The motel stubs are of no real value so they are included with the stubs and matches.

So i did alot of searches and found some idea prices and i will provide web address to what i found below and what i found was what i thought a little high priced for simular items. So i decided to go more then half off of those prices and consider rarity, popularity and condition of items. My price list followes with pictures.

I could not find anything for Ronnie Allen
I know that there may be more reference material out there, i just could not find anything else, anywhere else on the internet at this time. And i looked and searched for many hours and could not find anymore. I could not even find any of the 1972 Jansco program or the 1973 Louisville programs or the Ticket Stubs which in a way tells me that people are not letting go of them or there is just not alot of them left to let go.
Price list:
$ 450.00 for Fats autograph. Remember that's the hand written autograph, no stamp, and the Jansco program, both are rare.
$ 300.00 for Allen's autograph. And a Rare Jansco program
$ 300.00 for Lassiter and Crane Autographs. $ 150.00 each x 2 = $300.00
$ SOLD for the Ticket Stubs, 6 in all w/book of matches from the Jansco's Show Bar and motel stubs. Remember 2 of the stubs are extra rare.
I know this is alot to read for a sales ad but i wanted to share and let you all know how i got these items and how rare some of it is. I'm happy to answer questions and provide more pictures of the inside and outside of programs.
