Reminds me of a cue my brother owned in the mid 1990s. A Mali. There was so much deflection that we would hold it by the handle and pop the joint against our other hand and watch the tip whip back and forth, flexing by what seemed like inches. It was hilarious how much it deflected.
I think that everyone that started playing in the modern era (carbon shafts) should have the opportunity to play with one of these old whip-like shafts. If for nothing else, it is eye-opening and kind of amusing.
