Jay Helfert and Bobby Cotton need to just order a pizza

About time I can watch a recent Justin Hall match....

Lol I was thinking the same thing, I get tired of watching the same match vs. Alex Pagulayan at the Ultimate 10-Ball, where he lets his stroke out on that 5 and 6 ball, the infamous shot.

But I do have to say, I get really bored watching these bar tables matches, there is no sense of danger or pressure while watching these pros play, compared to the suspense of watching 10 ball on a 9 or 10 footer. The matches get really mundane and repetitive, but I mostly watch it to take note of the players fundamentals and PSR.

can you tell me what time that shot is? I'd love to sweat it :)

the 6 to 7 was way cooler than 5 to 6...imo

yeah, the 6 to the 7 was the shot I was trying to show.

Can Randy pull that one off?? Not sure exactly where you gotta hit the cueball to pull it off. I heard Jay say high right

My cloth is too nappy to pull it off.. Is it just a touch of high right or do you need more than a tip of side?
I had no idea that shot was possible.

It can be done on older felt too. High with 1 tip right should do it. Shots like this are fun and come up in one pocket sometimes.

Absolutely, might have to give it a try tonight! I've played a similar shot before where you play it in the side and make the CB do a Uturn end up on the far short rail.

Glad you guys got to see that shot - that was my first "AHA!" stroke moment where I really saw a guy do something special with the ball. I immediately went out to try it and couldn't do it consistently. Granted, this was back almost a year ago when my stroke wasn't up to snuff.

Anyway, I'm really happy to have new videos of him playing. Looks like he doesn't even own a jump cue, and the guy can kick everything. I hope to see him on the next Mosconi Cup team.!

an explanation of shot....The right hand english will cause the cue to masse' a little, bending the line toward the corner, the top english also bends the line of travel....then when cue hits the rail, the right hand english will tend to pull the line of travel back towards the rear rail.

This shot is easier to perform with a lighter cue ball, as opposed to a measle cue ball. When you are practicing this, if all you have is a measle cue ball....use an object ball as a cue ball instead for the first few times. This will make performing the shot easier, and hopefully aid in gaining an understanding of the shot. (can bend the hell out of a red circle cue ball with this shot:) )

i'm still shocked that the us open 10ball was on bar tables....ughhhhh

Ya you would think the bigger number of balls the bigger the table. Shocking.
Does that mean 7 ball will be played on 10 foot table
LOL
