Well, here we have our first JB Case in vinyl. I have been asked many times if I planned to make this case in vinyl so it could be had for less. A few weeks ago we made a trip to the vinyl market and I picked out some really good polyurethane upholstery vinyl. This is not the same as the PVC vinyl that one usually finds on vinyl cue cases. It's about 3x more expensive and in side by by side comparisons it's clear why.

This material is indistinguishable from leather in both appearance and feel (and smell if I rub some real leather on it).

It's what the auto and sneaker industry uses to match the real leather they use in their products.

So it's the good stuff. And for what it's worth it's a bit more work for us to use this material than it is to use leather. Feel guilty yet and willing to pay more? :-)

Other specs are clear, 4x8, 15" lower pocket with jump handle compartment, 8" upper pocket. Cushy extra long shoulder pad with a suede non-slip grippy side.

Please don't buy this and then turn around and try to flip it as leather. I am not marking it as vinyl anywhere and I hope I don't see it back on AZ in a month touted as leather. Buy it to use it and love it and it will love you back, take great care of your cues and thank you for the good home.

Hey John do you accept credit cards? I do not have a paypal account. Let me know. I'm getting tired of wanting a Barton case. Maybe it's time to own one.

As an aside do you have more of this material in other colors? Can another exactly like this one be made in another color at the same price? I like this one but would love another color.

Sorry but how much is this case...I read the post twice and didn't find the price. I saw a price of $650 but I thinking it for the case below.

An amazing case without all the hassle leather causes! Should shed light rain, cigarette smoke, general foul pool hall smells well and feel great the whole time. Vinyl can look great years after leather gets the broken in look. I like that about my previous Joe Porper vinyl case. It looked new after 15 years! Still, I do appreciate good leather.

John, good luck with your sale. If people were touching it, it would be sold by now! They would realize most "leather" they use daily is only leather in the light wear areas.

I do accept credit cards. Visa and Mastercard. I can send you a link and you put in all the information.

We can make this case in other colors. Right now I have several brown tones and black in this upholstery vinyl.

Do you have this in 5/10 configuration...look like the case can hold more than 4x8.

It can hold 5x10 - I could make an extra sleeve that velcros in to hold the extra cue. Or I could try to make different inserts to accommodate 5x10. With the old Instrokes in this size I used to put in 6x12 but that was with way less padding on the boards.

If you buy it I will make it fit 5x10 or make another one that does :-)
 
this is my favorite case to date that you have made......i will be getting one of the one day....bump for a great looking case....

John, your new soft cases are terrific.
I especially like the leather one you posted but this is the nicest vinyl case
i've seen.
 
This case is killing me. I keep hitting refresh to see if someone snagged it....me want so bad :frown:

Thanks Ted. This stuff is incredible. Honestly it is what the shoe and car makers use to do the bulk of the seats and shoes which feel like leather.

When you buy a car these days and they say leather seats look at the fine print and they will say something about only the actual place where your butt sits being real leather. They match it so well it's impossible to tell the difference.
