This video was shot and edited by Yo Chen for the launch of the Fury Classic series of cases we designed in collaboration with Fury cues. I explain what JB Cases is about, why I do it, how I feel about protection and what sort of extra work we do to make our cases better than the competition's.

JB Case Interview with John Barton

This video primarily applies to the production lines we design and make, Fury Classic and Wave Cases and any cases with our Organic Rebound Interior.

The Organic Rebound Interior is a type of interior that is designed to allow the cues to raise up with a slight shake of the case. This makes it easy to get the cues out. Unlike our competitors however who put metal springs in their cases to get this same effect our interior is all cloth and not any danger to the cue. As a result our cases are also not made longer and heavier to account for a spring. No wasted space.

Your cues are protected by foam rubber surrounded by soft fabric. A gentle embrace holds your valuable cues from harm.
 
John, can I make a suggestion on how to improve your videos ?

Whether you are doing them yourself or some other company, if you use a lavalier microphone, the audio quality will improve tremendously. It's a small microphone that clips to your shirt or collar and connects to the mic input on the camcorder. Your speaking voice will be recorded more clearly minimizing the background noises and echoes. You can get them for $50 or less.

Thanks Ron. This video was shot with a handheld camera and it wasn't mine. I don't know why the guy who edited it has put in noise in the background.

I need to start using a real camcorder with a mic input instead of the hodgepodge of devices we are using now.

When TAR does their interviews they use the type of mic you suggested and they work great.

They are currently on the market in China and possibly will be available in the USA in August. I am not handling the sales but if you contact Matt Carter at Sterling Gaming, the US Fury distributor, then I can try and help him to coordinate buying them directly from China.

Right now production is very slow because this is one of the most complicated cases we have ever made. We only have six people working on them at the time.

I also know that the Chinese Fury dealers have all committed to the full line so that may mean that none are available for sale through Sterling until after the initial run.

I will however find out whatever information I can and let you know.

Kinda heart-stopping though when those cues fall out of Brand X and hit the floor.

I wanted it to be a real interview format but the guy shooting it wanted me to answer written questions. I suppose in retrospect I should have stated the question prior to each segment.

I also should have made a disclaimer: "No custom cues were harmed in the making of this video." :-)
 
Thread moved from the review section. I didn't watch the video, however, only non-solicited reviews belong in that section. Clearly you make cases and have a vested interest in creating a thread in that section to sell more products. Not allowed.
 
Great video, John. I really like your attention to detail and the design of the new Fury cases. I think my next case will be one of yours.

I didn't put it there Clark. Someone else moved it from the main forum where I felt it belonged for general interest. Yes it's informational about how we build cases but I put it up because I think it's also just interesting when we have things like this to look at and talk about.

Sometimes the folks in my stalker club don't know when to just leave things alone.
 
How come?

A 3 x 5 or 3 x 6 is not offered in the Wave cases? A 3 x 4 is not sufficient for me, and I do not want to buy a 4 x 8 case.
