JB Ultímate Rugged case: a testimonial

No. I'm not talking about those since I have one with those type of lining. Similar to Justis case.

I'm talking about all you guys using the same lining.

Stout 3x4 Heavy Duty Nylon Hard Case - photo 3

That's not the same. It APPEARS to be the same because you can ONLY see the first couple inches. When it is taken apart however it is shown to be only padded at the top and not through the whole liner and not at the bottom like ours.

Here is a video that shows the effect of the knockoff interior deficiency compared to our trademarked interior and it is showing our OLD interior and not the latest construction.

And one more with a customer

Omega and Stout only 'look' like JB's. Not the same quality.

Exactly.. 2+2=4

That's a bit of an ignorant comment if I do say so my self. Maybe if you read my post before your snide comments you would realize the broken cue is not mine ;)

But I digress because ignorance is bliss, isn't it.

Everyone read it including myself. We know what you said and meant but not sure why these guys are trying to say you abuse your cues. LOL

Pretty simple, they have a keyboard in front of them.

EDIT: And for whatever reason, they feel the need to act like they are better than others but, I think we all know what that means.

So yesterday, a bungee cord gave up on me, and my cue case took a tumble off the luggage rack of my Harley at 60-65 mph.

The only casualties (aside from my heart rate & blood pressure) were one corner and part of the zipper on the small, top outside pocket. It’s a bit scuffed, but still functionally perfect. My cues were completely unharmed.

Disclaimer: I am I no way affiliated with, sponsored by, etc etc JB Cases. I paid full price for the damned thing from Seybert’s. Just sharing a fun (?!) anecdote about what I consider to be a quality product.

I am so glad your cues are safe and you are safe.

Message me about what I might be able to do for your case. FB messenger if you have it. If not just email works or my number is on the website.

Good .. it was supposed to be. Glad you were smart enough to pick up on it. Congrats.

I don’t care whose cue it is. your not going to get me to believe a case did that when the owner of said cue obviously abuses the cue.

Good god dude, do you not actually read the posts or do you lack serious comprehension skills.

Cliff notes: (actually - let's call them TROB notes given your lack of comprehension skills):

The cue with the broken butt is not mine, has been in a Giuseppe case its entire life - logo is a little worn but not bad.
My cue - the one WITHOUT the broken butt - was in a Giuseppe case for most of its life and our logo's were roughly the same when I purchased my JB case. At that point I gave my Giuseppe case to my son and now the logo is much more worn down.

Comprendo?

P.S. You crossed a line with the liar comment. And you crossed that line because you're ignorant and lack reading comprehension skills. You can either go back re-read the thread or read the TROB notes, either way, you're wrong and I'm going to recommend you go in a different direction.

Glad your cues are ok.
I've had Giuseppe, Instroke, Whitten, Acme, and Porper cases.
If my case hit the road at 60+mph, I would only worry about the cues in the Instroke.
Their clasps and zippers are trash and may dump my cues onto the pavement.
The others would do a fine job protecting my cues.
On a side note, the only case that has ever needed repairs was also the Instroke.

That guy's a tool. I usually keep him on perma-Ignore. Must have dogged it and let him off. Back he goes. 'TROB-notes', that's funny. ;)

To my surprise, as I was looking at an old cue stick one of the old timers used to have and it was all beat up on the butt end. Almost as bad as the one in the photo. What the guys used to do as they sat around the table when somebody else shot, when he potted a ball on a good shot they used to bang the butt and of their cue on the table legs, which made quite a racket when several people did it, as it was a gesture of approval. I guess that was the style or trend at the time, but the cue sticks were all beat up because of it. I don't know if people do that nowadays, but I can't understand what would prompt people to do this to their sticks, but they did.

Thank you for this. Is that what it’s from.

I have never seen it done here in the west coast. I have seen a lot of old cues for sale that seem to have uniformed chipped butts. I’ve seen two Scruggs and a Lambros last
Month that had the common chip around the butt.

Now I know.

I’m assuming they look like this?

Thank you for the kind offer! There's really nothing that needs "doing," though. My case is still fine; it just has a little extra character now. Heck, were it a guitar, Fender would call it "Road-Worn" and add 40% to the price.

Correct, and I had mentioned my finish was probably gone a long time ago. And I'm sure if I used the sleeve (actually forgot I had it, it's in the closet somewhere) EDIT (forgot to finish my sentence) Had I used the sleeve, this wouldn't have happened.

Your post is exactly as I expected - our opinions may vary but in the end - you will stand by your product. Which is why I said I will continue to use your case. The point of my post was to simply point out that the chance of a logo getting worn off is not zero.

Thanks for the reply.
While JB can be a bit cantankerous, he does indeed build a very good case. I will also give a shout out to John for being a charitable man. Not long after I became a gold member, John built several JB rugged cases specifically for AZB, and donated them to the site, to be given away as gifts in the AZB gold member giveaway. I believe it was maybe 10 or 12 cases that he gave to the site, free of charge.
Kudos JB.

I have zero issue with JB and recommend his cases whenever the opportunity arises.
