For all of you AZB'ers who haven't yet made your pilgrimage to the pool shrine that is Betmore's Basement; just an update. JCIN made it over yesterday for about 8 hours of pool. Sort of a DCC warmup; with a set of one-pocket, then straight pool, then short-rack banks, then 9-ball. What a great day.
It was extra 'specially nice for me; when I first started playing 4 years ago, JCIN was one of the really good players at the pool hall that everyone knew; and whose game they respected. He was nice enough to play with me then, even though I was a beginner. Now that I've worked on my game for a while it was nice to be able to at least give him a little competition (though I wasn't quite able to convince him that the host was entitled to a "mulligan" each rack - I guess he hasn't heard about the new rules).
Anyway, times a wasting - AZB'ers who haven't visited yet need to start making plans. If I have one AZB'er over each weekend, we should be through the whole member's list in about 100 years. Should be fun.
