jd custom cue ??????????????

jd cues

Folks, I'm new here, but have been playing serious pool for 25 years. Like most people, I started with McDermott's and Meucci's, and went on to Schon, which I played with for 15 years or so. Since then I've owned and played extensively with Coker, Chris Nitti, and Skip Weston cues.

Tight finances required sale of my higher-end cues recently, which I replaced with a Dale Perry and a JD for day-to-day play. The JD is a great cue for the money and hits really nice, and the amount of work and appearance is stunning. Actually the best looking cue I've ever owned, and that's saying something. Upon REALLY close inspection, I can find a flaw or 2. The shafts were a bit grainy, but some 1000 and 2000 grit sandpaper fixed that with no problem. So, every detail might not be dead-nuts perfect, but you'll get a great looking and playing cue for very little money. These cues are made by Joel Dadivas in the Phillipines. Joel is very friendly, responds promptly to emails, and is generally great to work with. You can see pics of recent cues (1 of them mine) on Joel's facebook page. Here's the link to his facebook wall: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000532940267#!/profile.php?v=wall&id=100000532940267

Though not the current topic, I'd mention that my DP may be the best playing cue I've EVER owned. It's straight from one of his Ebay auctions, and I ordered the optional DP-R radial shaft. I know I've seen some differing opinions on Dale's Ebay cues, but mine is terrific.
