ok, I have got a lot of views, but no replies. Am I out of line on the price of the olney? He does have a 3-4 year wait.

I think $900 may be a little high...Don't get me wrong, Olneys are sweet cues; but I personally believe a $900 custom cue should make you say "Wow!" when you see it. I know looks aren't everything, but they do count for a lot when considering a high end cue. Just one man's opinion.

You are not out of line. Jeff makes one of the best cues out there. Unfortunately, his work does not get seen by many so a lot of folks have no idea just how nice they play. I have played with many many cues from some of the best names in the business and I still prefer my Olney. Mine looks like yours in the forearm, my butt has recut MOP diamonds rather than the boxes..
Your price is more than fair, the market is really tough right now. It is hard to move most cues. Good luck, but I would not budge much on your price, it is more than fair.. JMHO
My opion, others opinions will vary..

ok this is my last bump and I will let this thread die. It would seem my price is too high for the market. Everything will sell for the right price. But this guy has a 3 year wait. There is pent up demand for the product. I know it is not a SW or a Hercek but it sure prices out used better than a Schon. (Not a knock on Schon, I have had many and loved them all).

what is a fair price for this cue? I will not go much lower, any hope of selling?

Thanks for the imput. (that means you reading this)

I'll give you a Sunday morning BUMP.............looks like a really nice cue, I've never hit with one of his cues, but I've heard a lot of good things. Good luck with your sale.

I am now approaching 80 Olney cues I have owned in the last 6 years. $900 is very cheap for this cue. A plain Mottey will start at $1500 and nobody will say WOW when they see it. Jeff is a good friend of mine. He personally told me within the last week that his waiting list is getting close to 6 years. He has decided to stop taking any new orders until he catches up a bit.

Let me clarify: I believe $900 is a little (slightly) high, given the market for previously owned high end cues. And usually if the price is "very cheap", a number of AZers will remark about the "great price" or the cue being "a steal". What most people are remarking is that it's a very nice cue, which I agree with completely.

Buy it, buy it, BUY IT, you know you want it. Jeffs cues are the nuts. Mike is a great guy to deal with. BUY IT BUY IT. "in the voice of the late Sam Kinisen (sp?)"

new price, I've got a james white that is calling my name. 750 for the olney and I am keeping the runde.

this cue has a new black textured leather wrap and the butt plate has just been refinished also. comes with 1 314 shaft.

new price is 750.

thanks
