Those veneer colors really compliment each other.
Another fine example of Jeff Olneys work.

Beautiful

NICE TRADITIONAL VENEER COMBO, WITH JEFFS' TWIST ON THE HOPPE RING.

I MUST ALSO SAY, THE JOINTS/THREADS ARE THE MOST PRECISE THAT I HAVE EVER FELT A BIG PIN JOINT. HE PUTS ALOT OF TIME/EFFORT INTO ALL ASPECTS OF HIS CUES.

Very nice, I really like the thick hoppe ring. I ordered one but went with the thin hoppe ring. Now I wish I'd went with the thick one. He makes a heck of cue.

Really nice, Marcus. Great veneer colors (especially like that soft green shade) & more super birdseye. Jeff takes a lot of pride in his work. I understand his 3/8-10 joint is a workout. I hope you manage to find a 5/16-14 if you're still looking. I know from your posts that you have a special liking for that joint - as do I. Jeff's are all you'd hope.

Is Jeff doing leather wraps now?

I have a full splice from John Davis being worked in Harry Richard's shop right now, same colors.

markus why dont you have him re work the joint to steel like you looking for. i love traditional style cues but when i see the with non SS joints i shake my head. if its 3x8-10 gotta be ivory. i like the traditionals like you

Beautiful cue, are the veneers overlapped or mitered, either way truly beautiful.

IT'S VERY HARD FOR ME TO SEE ANY SEEMING, BUT I THINK THEY ARE OVERLAPPED.

IT WOULD REALLY MESS BALANCE AND WEIGHT.

I FOUND MY STEEL, SO IT'S ALL GOOD.

Good call, sir.

Mine is getting 5/16"x14 piloted and the old style heavy steel collar.

I have a fifteen year old Verl Horn 6 pt IVORY into bem blank that's getting a capped ivory joint like a ferrule.

OLD SKOOL RULZ!!!

changing the weight/balance doesnt mean changing for the worst.

i read it in another thread just now and i think its a ridiculous thought

with a little work and thought it would be fine

i change the balance point in every cue i own just about. done it hunderds of times

glad you found what you were looking for

THERE IS ALREADY A STEEL BOLT IN THE BACK, AND THE CUE BALANCES GREAT. IF I WERE TO ADD AN OUNCE TO THE JOINT, I'D HAVE TO SHAVE THAT OUNCE SOMEWHERE (WEIGHT BOLT) PUSHING THE BALANCE WAY TO FAR FORWARD (IMO)
