Jennifer Barretta fan (what say you?)

She plays pretty damn good. I think she got a lot of extra press based on her looks but so did Jennette L. Hey, if you got it use it. Both are good for pool.
garzar, Howdy;

Big difference between the two. Jennette Lee conducts herself as a Lady 100% of the time.
Jennifer B. conducts herself like a Streetwalker hunting for the next trick. From the facial expression
(doin' the Italian tough girl), to the way she flaunts herself while walking around the table
(hooker on the move).
I grew-up near where she did, Lots of Philly attitude exuding from a girl that grew-up in the 'burbs.

Wow. That's fairly brutal. I was around her one year at DCC and saw none of that. Besides, i like hot, tough Italian chicks.

You are embarrassing yourself.

Welder84, Howdy;

Just my thoughts on the subject. Nothing to be embarrassed about.
Do you weigh your thoughts before expressing them? If so, then you
are speaking to your audience and NOT speaking your true thoughts.
I don't do that, except in extream situations, might explain 4 ex's.
I grew-up in that area and that's how it was then/now.

Any guy with FOUR exe's is usually the problem, not the gal. You hit on her and get turned down flat? Sounds like it.

No, never met the woman. By the way/ Just so's ya knows, That was 3 different women, 2 & 4 were the same one
and she was the one that wanted to have the "do over". Also, I was her 3 & 5. The other 2 disclosed they had prior
mental problems (committed before we met),

Back to original question;
So for years I have heard many rumblings (mostly from clowns) that Jennifer can't play. Or she doesn't have the stroke...

All I have ever seen is her playing better players (against the odds) and competing.

Jennifer appears to pull back, pause and then uncork a straight follow thru. She has control and plays within herself.

So am I missing something?
She can play, or she wouldn't be doing what she does. She just doesn't do it on the level that will take her much
further. Perhaps if she were to drop the Tough girl attitude and adopt one more conducive to better play. In other
words, rexal and enjoy the game as it were meant to be.

After playing/watching for 40+yrs i've seen very few top/slow players. Buddy was kinda slow at times as was/is Soquet but almost all good players have a distinct rhythm/pace to their play. Earl, SVB, Archer,Efren, Rodney, Sigel, Keith all didn't dick around. All had a good pace to their game. Flowing, not plodding.

I watched her play Luc Salvas up at Turning Stone a few years ago. Talk about a contrast in styles. He barely let the cue stop before his next shot, and she was meticulous and deliberate on every shot. She seemed to really examine the rack every time she broke (which wouldn't happen if she wasn't winning), and overall played a really good match against Luc, but I believe she lost that one.

Since I tend to do better when I'm moving more methodically, I like her style of play. I think that some of the "cheesecake" photo shoots may have undermined her pool credibility for some, but she sure can play, and she plays HER game, so even more kudos for her.

Her content on social media (Facebook, TikTok) is really good and is a great way to reach new players. I think she is the only pool player on TikTok, so if you were 15 years old and looking to learn more about pool her videos would be the first thing you find.

I didn't bother to check, but I think her Fargo is 680ish?

She has good mechanics and PSR, but is for long matches though, I think not long ago she had like a 3 hr race to 7 or 9, something silly.
Her approach to shots remind me of how Shanelle shoots, although Jennifer is a lot better, very mechanical and deliberate like she is following some instructor in her head as she is playing.

I believe that at one time many years ago she was working with Hunter Lumbardo who also tends to be on the methodical side

She does a really good job with video editing so most of her videos are under a couple minutes and focused on a singular topic like one rail kicks. Her content is really professional, which isn't always easy to pull off.
