The cue was not signed but I have email authentication which I have attached below. I still have the email if needed.

Only selling this one to take care of a debt, and it has sat in my closet pretty much since the day that I took posession of it.

One used Jensen custom pool cue.
Perfectly straight together and apart.
An unbelievable fiddleback maple forearm.
Bloodwood points and buttsleeve.
3 veneers
very nice ringwork that compliments the veneer color at the joint and end of the butt.
Approx. 19.5 oz.
2 shafts, 12.85 or a hair more each.
Original "milk dud" tips
Piloted 5-16/14 joint
Mike Johnson said that this cue was one of the top 7 best hitting cues he has ever built.

Yes that cue was made for a friend of mine here in Baton Rouge, La. It has a Fiddleback front with bloodwood points. I remember the cue well because of how well it played!!! It draws the ball exceptionally well with out alot of diflection. That's rare to find in a cue today. This should be certification
enough. I hope!!
Thanks Mike Johnson-- Jensen Custom Cues

ummm, wow.... that was quick.

sold

It was a good deal the first time around too. I remember really thinking about buying that cue when it appeared on the board. Bushwacker had a hoppe one that went for a good price as well. Jensens are good cues.

Ross thanks! I'm looking forward to it. Have always been a Jensen fan and could not pass up the opportunity.

Regards,

Doug

Damn, that was quick......Ross, wanna sell some of my cue's for me ??

Sure, just mail all you want to get rid of to me and I'll take care of it from there. My cut is also 25% :D

Doug - thanks again, was nice talking to you.

I am glad that you sold it so fast. Mike makes great playing cues but for some reason his cues don't do good on holding their value.

Whenever you ask Mike about a cue it is always one of the best playing or hitting cues that he has ever made. I don't think that he has ever made or admits to a bad one. He will admit to making a ugly one but it will still be one of the best he has ever made.

So did Gus in 1970.

Keep in mind that Mike runs a ONE man shop. He handles matl. procurement, cue design, assembly, quality control, marketing and SALES!
Just hope I can acquire several before everyone figures out what a steal they are on the secondary market:) :)

The guy builds some awesome cues....

i am thrilled he finaly learned how to make a nice finish though..

for a long time up my way.. every jensen came through with bad spidercracked clear coat...

but tell you what.. they all played top notch.. and seemed to be well made..

Ooohh...a sign of things to come, perhaps? That's one hell of an association....Gus to Jensen. Hope it comes true...'cuz I'm getting my hands on my Jensen pretty soon.

I've never heard anything bad about his cues....and no clue why they don't do well on the secondary market....I'm sure people will come around, sooner or later.

I've never hit with a Jensen I didn't like. Normally I can't stand steel jointed cues, but Mike does something to make them play like no other steel jointed cue that I've ever played with. I spoke with Mike a couple of years ago and he supposedly modeled his cues after Szambotis. Now, whenever I hear about Jensen's cues, people make reference to his Szamboti like hit. Since I can't afford a GS, then in my opinion a Jensen is the next best thing.

I've hit with a ton of cues and 3 stick out in my mind as the best playing cues I've ever seen....a Southwest some guy had at the DCC, a Jensen owned by a friend, and an old Dale Perry before he went production.

Not all cues by the same cuemaker hit terrific, but Mike's cues come close. I've bought and sold many cues, and generally keep the ones that perform. I hope this one does.

Regards,

Doug

Doug-how right you are!!

Mike Johnson told me the same story about emulating Szamboti's as much as he possibly could. He usually puts what he calls "buzz rings" in his SS jointed cues and claims that what makes them hit so nice.

I made the mistake of selling a Jensen about 3 years or so ago and regretted it from the minute it was gone. However-I have another one due here early next week and I can't see me ever selling it.:)
